I recently tried Dr. Brandt Pores No More. I was excited to give this a try because I have generally heard good things about Dr. Brandt products, and I am also a pretty big fan of makeup primers.
On the good side, the product goes on nicely. It smooths across the skin well and feels quite nice. As a makeup primer it is effective. People at Makeup Alley also tend to report good result with it as a mattifier and in reducing the appearance of pores.
Now for the bad side: Unfortunately I can’t say that it really made my pores less noticeable. Also unfortunate is that I did not wear it enough to really find out on that point because I did not want to use it again after the first try. The stuff smelled horrible! The product had a strong chemical smell to it that I found very unappealing. I simply could not wear it and was very disappointed by that. So for anyone considering this product, I suggest trying to get a sample first before dishing out the $45 for it. Some people love this stuff, so obviously the smell doesn’t bother everyone. For me, I just couldn’t use it again.
