Redken Extreme Shampoo and Conditioner

Redken Extreme Shampoo and Redken Extreme Conditionerare favorites of my hair dresser. Initially drawn to the fruity smell emanating from them when I got my hair done, I decided to buy a couple of bottles when I saw them on sale at the local Ulta store.

The extreme line from Redken is intended for “distressed” hair. As a result, these are moisturizing and fortifying products. The shampoo is lovely stuff. It has a rich, moisturizing lather that leaves no tangles and smells incredible. The conditioner is also quite good, but I prefer something a bit thicker or heavier at times. My hair dresser swears by both products for anyone with dry or color treated hair. I did not notice any problems with color stripping with these, and generally found them to be a pretty nice set of daily use hair products.

I have found the Redken products much cheaper online than in the stores.  Ulta will occasionally run specials of buy one get one free in their stores, plus they carry the good value extra large bottles. So that is something to watch for in order to get a bargain.
