I had the recent pleasure of trying out some Elizabeth Arden eye products. In the eye shadow department, I have been wearing the Elizabeth Arden Color Intrigue Quad Eyeshadow Palette in the neutral cashmere shades for over a week now. I also tested the sueded brown shades (pictured) in the store. Both are quads of lovely neutral shades that are perfect for fall and winter.
It had been a long time since I used Elizabeth Arden cosmetics and I had forgotten just how nice their eyeshadow is. The shadow has great pigmentation, so like other well made shadows, it can be built up in intensity and it lasts well. It also feels very silky.
Elizabeth Arden eyeshadow also has a very high crease proof factor. I don’t have particularly oily skin, but I think I do have oily lids, because I can get some of the most crease proof stuff out there to crease for me. But I have been wearing the Elizabeth Arden eye shadows to work quite a bit and have yet to see them crease. So I am definitely very impressed! This is a really nice feeling and attractive eye shadow.
The packaging of the color intrigue shadows is quite nice as well. My quad came in a black plastic case with gold trim. The case has a bit of weight to it, which I appreciate, because I am not a fan of flimsy cases. There is also a good sized mirror in the lid. Another welcome touch is that the applicator has both a sponge tip and a very serviceable brush tip. I really like it when companies include a brush in the kit. It shows some forethought about the customer and knowledge that often a brush is the preferred applicator.
These quads are limited edition, so they are getting a bit hard to find. Here is the Elizabeth ArdenColor Intrigue Quad in Neutral Camels at Amazon.com. That one has a slightly different (and pretty cool) case. I also have tried Elizabeth Arden products at Ulta and seen them in various department stores.
If you are looking for some nice neutral fall/winter colors or perhaps wanting to give the gift of makeup for the holidays, check out the Elizabeth Arden quads.
