I recently tried four products from Pantene’s Customized Hair Solutions line for fine hair. Pantene formulates items for fine, medium, thick, colored, or curly hair. I chose the formulation for fine hair since, although my hair is rather thick, its texture is fine. Also, products made for fine hair tend to work best with my somewhat oily hair. If you are interested in trying any of the Pantene Customized Solutions, you can decide what works best for you here: Pantene product finder.
The shampoo and conditioner from the line worked quite well for me. The shampoo cleanses well and did indeed add a good amount of volume to my hair. The conditioner detangles quite well and kept things from looking frizzy. Overall, I got a smooth look from it but my hair did not look flat. Although Pantene makes a formulation for color treated hair, the fine hair products can also be used with color treated hair.
I also tried Pantene’s hair spray and root lifter spray gel for fine hair. The hair spray was pretty standard. I liked it, but I don’t know that it added anything extra for fine hair over other hair sprays that I own. It held well and did not feel sticky.
What I really liked was the root lifter gel. This light spray gel did a good job at lifting for styling and did not feel heavy or sticky the way some gels can. The spray is convenient, and it was easy to control the amount of product used. Because the product is quite light, it doesn’t weigh down fine hair.
Pantene products can be found at most drugstores, grocery stores, and big box retailers.
