The new Urban Decay Smoked Palette is everything that you need for deep smoky eye looks, including more interesting colorful looks and a matte look. The shadows are super pigmented, and the overall quality is outstanding. But that is to be expected from Urban Decay. I seriously love this palette, and it is a nice addition to my collection, which has been rather neutral lately.
The palette itself comes in a zipper case with an inside mirror, and includes a black liner and a small tube of Urban Decay Primer Potion. Also included is a look book with detailed instructions and tips for achieving different looks with the palette. I missed that it came with the kit, so I also bought one. Because of that I will probably be holding a reader giveaway for the extra book, which would be useful with any makeup of similar shades. Keep an eye out for that and consider subscribing to my new you tube channel, because I will probably announce the contest there.
Inside are ten shades, some are old favorites, while a few are new. Each pan is decent sized. The top row from left to right are Kinky, Freestyle, Mushroom, Backdoor, and Blackout. The bottom row from left to right are Barlust, Rockstar, Evidence, Loaded, and Asphalt.
Below are swatches of the Smoked palette in outdoor light. This is the top row of the set.
Here are swatches of the bottom row.
Finally, here is a video I did of the swatches. My you tube channel is brand new! I plan to start doing regular video, so consider subscribing. I will be doing a look or two using the Urban Decay Smoked Palette in upcoming weeks and will announce then when I am also giving away the extra look book.
