Urban Decay has out three zippered palettes for Holiday 2012 that are great for gift giving, or for yourself. Each includes a few limited edition shades. I grabbed the Fun Palette, since I liked its mix of colors.
The palette comes in a zippered bag:
Inside are 6 eye shadow shades in Maui Wowie, Deep End, Sellout, Fishnet, Stay Dog, and Freakshow. There also is a mini lip gloss in Lip Junkie.
The lipgloss is hard to get out of the case, despite there being pull ribbon for it. It also was nothing real special to me and had a fairly strong fragrance of I think mint and vanilla. But I didn’t buy this for the lip gloss. I got it for the shadow! Here are swatches of the shades:
Something I really like about Urban Decay is that they blend pretty well without getting muddy looking, so you can take bright shades and make them look much softer if so desired. For example, here is a daytime eye look with Sellout on most of the lid, Stray Dog blended at the outer third and crease, and deep end blended just along the lash line and at the outer corner, along with a bit of liner from the new Urban Decay Ocho Loco Set. Since I am getting older and am starting to wrinkle (blech!), I think well blended looks tend to suit me a bit better than super bold ones, yet I like to get a bit of brighter color.
Obviously, you could do a brighter and bolder look with the palette as well. So, it is rather versatile.
