This week Makeup Wars looks at cruelty free cosmetics. These items are not tested on animals, nor are they sold in countries that do animal testing. Here are my three favorite cruelty free brands across three price points, affordable, medium, and medium-high.
NYX is my favorite affordable cruelty free brand. The products are very affordable, yet the quality is normally rather high. I especially love NYX soft matte lip creams. They are super pigmented and super long wear. Plus they don’t feel drying. I also am a fan of the Smoky eye palette, which I got in my NYX Mortal Instruments Box. You can see more on that and a look using the palette here. I buy NYX at Ulta.
(2) Too Faced
Too Faced is a mid-range priced line with a lot of cute palettes and some great plumping lip crayons. I love their packaging, so I usually pick up a few palettes each year and I do love the new Too faced Lip Injection Color Balm crayons.
(3) Urban Decay
Urban Decay is upper end in price, although not luxury priced. Pretty much everything they put out is quality. The shadows are super pigmented, they have some great lip products, and I love Urban Decay’s Naked Skin foundation. Urban Decay also puts out some great palettes, which can be a good way to get multiple quality shadows at once.
