Adopt a Shelter Dog Manicure
A group of beauty bloggers are highlighting nail art looks for National Adopt a Shelter Dog Month. As someone who has adopted from a shelter and a pet blogger for Babble (a Disney website), I definitely was up for this! In fact, I also did a special photo slideshow for Babble on 17 Reasons to Adopt a Shelter Dog. In it are also links with tips for your adoption efforts, so check it out!
Iām no expert at nail art, so IĀ did a simple manicure consisting of CND Vinylux in Asphalt topped with a new Sephora Formula X glitter top coat on Chaotic. I like the new Formula X. As far as glitter top coats go, it applies quite well, giving good coverage in one coat.
I picked these shades for this look because I have had a gray shelter cat and a black shelter dog. So the choices seemed appropriate!

Really really pretty <3
Aw super cute idea! I love that Sephora X polish as well, it does apply nicely!
Great color choices. My first dog was a black and white Border Collie š
Lovely!
Love that you used your adopted pets colors as inspiration for this look!
Pretty! I didn’t do any fancy animal faces or nail art either – I tried and failed! I’ll leave it to the pros! š
I love your mani color choice š
Oh I’m going to try that when I wear Asphalt again. I’d honor my wonderful dalmatian/lab mix that way.
Great mani and it’s fun to colour coordinate your polish to your furry friends, isn’t it? š
