Makeup Wars, Favorite Fall Manicure
My favorite fall manicure is an oldie. This is OPI Lincoln Park After Dark Suede. I don’t think you can still get this particular polish in Suede, but you can still get the same look without it. I will tell you how.
Lincoln Park After Dark is one of my all time favorite OPI shades. It is a beautiful shimmery purple. The suede version was simply a matte version of the polish. So, to get the same look, buy Lincoln Park after Dark and then use a matte top coat over it. The bonus with that is that you can wear the polish both ways. For added fun, try doing matte nails and then doing the tips non-matte.

The OPI Suedes were so much better than the Mattes. I still prefer to just use a matte top coat. Much more economical.
ooh – I really like that shade!
Wow sista…you took me back! This is an oldie but goodie. I have to dig through my stash to see if I can find LAD. I don’t think I have the suede version of it and it is just so pretty on you.
Great look! LPAD is such a classic…I don’t know how I missed the Suede version, but I love the alternative with the Matte topcoat.
I really think this is gorgeous on you.
I think I’ve gone through 2 bottles of LPAD, but I’ve never even opened my bottle of the suede version. I need to try it out!
I love LPAD however have never tried the Suede version! Great color! Oh, and I love the look of matte nails with non-matte tips too!
Great idea!
I always thought LPAD would be too dark for me but this changes my mind.
That eggplant purple is perfect for Fall!
Beautiful!!! I like the suede version better than the original
I’ve been a nail-picker for a long time, but for some reason my nails are the perfect length right now. I’ve been trying to decide on a fall color. This one looks great – thanks for sharing! 🙂
