New Year Beauty Essentials

As we dance into 2016 ready to create the best year ever, lets make sure we are effortlessly flawless as we write the first chapter! If you are joining me for the first time then welcome to beauty essentials and to my regular beauty lovers here’s a virtual happy new year hug!

Today I am sharing my non-negotiable beauty essentials for 2016.These products have proved themselves consistently enough to deserve my loyalty. Let’s start with ‘Skin Food’ by Weleda. During winter our skin needs a shield to protect it and my shield is Skin Food….

Another beauty essential is coconut oil. My loyal readers know, coconut oil is now a staple in my beauty regime. For those of you yet to discover the multiple benefits please refer to my beauty essentials archive. Enjoy.

A backup moisturizer that I am using, when it is not so bitterly cold outside, is the ‘Face and Eye Cream’ by Honey Girl Organics. I am also using their wonderful ‘HoneyGlo’ regenerating face serum at night time and during the day under the ‘Skin Food’. I am a lover of layering my skin care and a fan of serums and oils for my face. I alternate the serum with ‘Advanced Argan Oil’ by Mychelle. This has proved to be my go to Argan oil.

I find that using a facial scrub is actually even more necessary during the winter. I’m using the ‘Brightening Facial Scrub’ by Acure. As my skin is quick to get dry in this weather I am now using a very moisturizing cleanser by Honey Girl Organics; ‘Facial Cleanser and Make-Up remover’ this even takes off my eye make up and has been a favorite of mine for years.

I enjoy microdermabrasions, however in between these facials I like to get deep into my pores with the fabulous ‘Indian Healing Clay’ by Aztec Secret. I even gave the love of my life a facial. So ladies try it on your man – radiant, flawless skin should be enjoyed by everyone!  I add Bragg organic raw unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar to the clay. The result is an incredibly potent facial mask that truly gives you a deep pore cleansing. You feel your face pulsate (I have to say I love that feeling – oh my British humor was going to write something saucy but I will resist – cause my skin just feels so clean). I like to spritz my face with the Alteya Organics Rose Water after. As I’ve mentioned before facial sprays are remarkably refreshing, especially during the winter when the artificial heat is blasting inside and sucking the moisture out of your skin.

And yes the ultimate internal/external moisturizer is…..that’s right…filtered water! I have to consciously remind myself to drink more water right now. Try adding lemon, it helps.

It is so exciting to step into a brand new year fearless, empowered and of cause gorgeous!
So have the courage to create the life you want this year – live your dreams and shine bright!
