Skincare Beauty Essentials – Part 3 of the Spring Series.

Que the music…’Most Beautiful Girl In the World’.

‘Could you be the most beautiful girl in the world…it’s plain to see, your the reason that God made a girl….’ I’ve been listening to Prince all weekend and as I share my skincare beauty essentials with you I’m dancing around my apartment celebrating this musical genius….

Let’s talk skincare that will allow us to create beautiful skin effortlessly as the seasons evolve. While in my chosen playground recently, also known as Sephora, I discovered a superior skincare brand called Tata Harper. I say superior because the quality is exceptional. So I tried the ‘resurfacing mask’ the night before I had to shoot a television pilot and I used the ‘reparative moisturizer’ and ‘regenerating cleanser’ the next morning. While waiting for the producer to set up the shot I looked at the monitor and I actually could not believe what I saw. I have never ever in my life seen my skin look so flawless on camera! I was overjoyed! The casting director, producer and her assistant all commented on how great I looked. So from that moment I knew Tata Harper was the skincare for me. The story behind this skincare is rather beautiful so I want to share it with you. Tata Harper skincare was founded by Tata Harper with the idea that women shouldn’t have to sacrifice their health to look and feel beautiful; and that skincare should be able to deliver real, visible results without a single drop of synthetic chemicals. Handmade in Vermont, please take a look at their website to read more about this outstanding skincare and how it is made; www.tataharperskincare.com

My TATA HARPER bathroom….

I am also using the ‘nourishing oil cleanser’ this make-up remover works and leaves my skin so soft. The ‘rejuvenating serum’ is an anti aging collagen treatment (beauty essentials is all about prevention baby) that I use at night and during the day under my moisturizer. I love to spritz my skin with the refreshing ‘hydrating floral essence’ moisture boosting toner, I also use this to set my make-up! And we can’t forget our lips….always keep them kissable with ‘Be Fierce’. Tata Harper has changed my skin, I’m loving the results and it is a joy to share this with you. I’m so excited to try their make-up and other skincare products.

I mentioned my love of Bogavia in body beauty essentials. For my face I’m loving their ‘Midnight Repair Oil’ with sea kelp, rose and immortelle extracts. This works to repair, replenish and moisturize and I wake up with very happy skin. I will use this before the Tata Harper ‘rejuvenating serum’ or sometimes wear it alone to bed. Depending on my skins needs I also use the ‘Daytime Vitality Serum’ with sea kelp, hyaluronic acid and vitamin C. I find that this does not work with make-up so I will wear this on days when I’m make-up free. Sometimes I find hyaluronic acid too drying so it really depends where my skins at. The ‘Essential facial lotion’ is very lightweight so great for warmer spring days. It too has hyaluronic acid, sea kelp and aloe Vera, for me it does not work under make-up so again I’d wear this on make-up free days. I’m a lover of scrubs for the body and face and the ‘Exfoliating facial scrub’ gently works to leave your skin glowing.

Riding my bike with my happy spring skin…

Spring temperatures can be up and down so I still keep my reliable ‘skin food’ by Weleda close by for the days when my skin needs extra moisture.

The eyes are the windows to your soul so invest in them. I have used an eye cream since I was a teenager and I find myself returning to the Dr Hauschka ‘Eye Balm’ – it is so moisturizing and soothing. The skin around our eyes is thinner and needs a specific moisturizer so it is important to treat this area with its own product. Your eyes also let you know a lot about what’s happening inside. Puffy eyes can be the result of too much salt in your diet, for example. The cleaner your liver the whiter your eyes and we know skincare starts on the inside! I have to mention my beloved coconut oil as I still use this on my face when I feel my skin is dryer and I use it around my eyes and gently apply it on my eyelashes. My favorite is Natures Gate pure and unrefined extra virgin coconut oil.

As the seasons change so does our skincare needs. Less is more and what you put on your skin goes into your body so choose wisely. May you all glow as we step into Spring…until next time beauty lovers.

All skincare is available at your local wholefoods.
