Beauty and Fashion Tech and Girl Gloss both accept various forms of advertising. Generally, banner ads are offered.
As of February 2010, banner advertising rates for Beauty and Fashion Tech and Girl Gloss are as follows:
Above the fold left side full banner (600 long up to 160 wide): $30/week. Shorter or half banner: $25/week. 125×125 square is $20/week, mini box type ads are also $20 if above the fold. $5 extra per week for any animated ads or video units.
Above the fold 300×250 $30/week. $5 extra per week for animated ads or video units.
Middle of the right or left sidebar: $25/week for a full banner or 300×250, $20 for a shorter banner, and $10 for a 125×125 or mini. $5 extra for animated ads or video units.
Above the content 468×60 on post pages only (not on the front page): $25 per week.
250×250 or 300×250 squares or various rectangle banners at the bottom of posts and/or in between the first and second post may be possible. Because they are more intrusive, generally animated banners in these areas are not accepted. The cost for such ads is $45/week for a large square and $35 for a rectangle banner in the 468×60 range. The ads can be set to show on all pages of the site, just like sidebar ads.
Sidebar links may be available in certain circumstances, which include positioning in a clearly marked advertising area and a rel=nofollow tag. No exceptions. Sponsored or advertorial content may be available under certain circumstances. Such items require clear disclosure and use of rel=”nofollow” tags on all links. No exceptions.
Please note: All links in advertisements, regardless of type, will either be set to not pass page rank or will be redirected through an ad server or script so as to not pass page rank. Payment is accepted by paypal or a cleared check before the advertisement runs.
