Croc Wet to Dry Flat Iron Review

If you have thick, wavy hair or perhaps your hair gets unruly when there is moisture in the air, you more than likely understand how difficult it can be to straighten it. Enter the Croc Wet to Dry Flat Iron. At any beauty, department or large retail store, you can find a wide variety of straightening irons to help you get a super sleek look. However, not all straightening irons are created the same.

I love experimenting with my hair, and I spend a lot of time trying different styles and looks. Additionally, I certainly enjoy creating a super straight look on a whim. From much trial and error, I finally found a straight iron that not only gives me the look I crave, but it also helps it stay that way.

I do love trying out new hairstyles, but sometimes I am pressed for time. I noticed the Croc "Wet-to-Dry" titanium flat iron, and figured I would give it a try. I have thick hair, and it can sometimes take longer than I would like to dry my hair.
Well, I washed my hair, and decided to give it a shot. I simply towel dried my hair, and I wanted to see how it would work on my wet hair.

I turned the Croc on, and placed it at the highest setting. I know this isn't always recommended, but for my hair, it is necessary. I divided my hair into sections, and went over each section with the straight iron. My hair immediately began to dry and become stick straight. It seemed to take minutes to get my hair dry and sleek. As I went about my day, the style stayed, and I was extremely happy with it. Not only was it straight, but it looked much shinier too. After that experience, I was hooked. I had not found a "Wet-to-dry" titanium flat iron to compare.

If you want to try the Croc, I would suggest starting out with the mid-level heat setting. I usually like to go with the hottest setting, but not all hair types need that, it's just my personal favorite. Also, it helps to towel dry your hair a little bit before styling your hair with the iron. Dividing your hair into sections makes the drying time happen more quickly. The Croc is definitely one of the more unique straightening irons out on the market today.

Ultra Chi Flat Iron Review

The following is a reader review of the Ultra Chi Flat Iron.

I have a confession. I am in a long term relationship with a hair straightener. It's not just any straightener. It's an Ultra CHI flat iron. In blue iris to be exact. It's easily my most prized beauty possession.

Ultra Chi flat Iron

The Ultra CHI flat iron is my favorite hair styling tool, because it works magic on my hair. I have curly, frizzy hair. It is really thick. It's so thick I have broken my fair share of hair ties. My CHI can take that thick, curly mess on my head and whip it into a sleek, smooth coif.

Not only does the Ultra CHI flat iron smooth out my hair, but the style lasts. I don't usually put anything in my hair after I wash it, so the CHI nixes the frizz by itself. I have owned cheaper flat irons in the past, and they didn't set the style for the day. Sure, I could buy products to put into my hair to make the style hold, but if I can get the same result with the flat iron alone for the whole day, why would I use anything else?

My CHI is fast too. It takes me about 15 minutes to straighten my hair. With my last flat iron, I had to go over the same length of hair repeatedly which added time in front of the mirror. It got to the point that I just pulled my hair back everyday in the interest of saving time. Now, I can do my hair almost as fast as I can do my makeup. That makes this busy girl very happy.

The CHI is less damaging to my hair than other brands of flat iron. I dye my hair like other girls change their nail polish, so my poor hair gets put through the chemical wringer. I don't need heat damage on top of that. Since I only have to run the iron over each small section of hair once, or twice at most, I minimize the damage.

Bottom line: The Ultra CHI flat iron makes my hair gorgeous when I want to wear it straight. I would recommend it to anyone in the market for a good flat iron.

Get Easy Long Lasting Curls, Herstyler Clipless Curling Iron Review

This is reader/guest review from by Khyla Rose of the Herstyler Clipless Curling Iron. Thanks Khyla for the review!!!

The Herstyler Clipless Curling Iron is an exemplary product if you’re looking for effortless, long lasting curls. Its ceramic barrel heats up to 200?C in approximately 60 seconds, reducing wait time and allowing for quick production of your favorite do. Each purchase includes a light weight, 1 inch barrel wand boasting an extra-long fixed cord and a heat protectant glove for your fragile fingers. Colorful designs offer multiple choices to fit your personality and the thin, textured grip assures a better, more comfortable hold. Since the product was first put out on the market, new options have propped up that offer more versatile use. Multi-barrel extensions, which range from half an inch to an inch in width, provide the user with more control over each curl.

At first glance, the curler may seem intimidating as its clipless design is unlike conventional curling irons. But using this product is simple and easy to learn. The curling iron works best when positioned upside down as this is the most efficient way to wind your hair around the barrel. The heat protectant glove provided with the product eases any fears of burning for beginners, but often gets in the way and limits use of your hand. The curler itself is gentle on hair and forms sleek, no frizz curls, but if the air is rather dry, the glove can often produce static frizz that can become a hassle.

The original design features a tapered barrel that allows for the construction of multiple styles to suit your mood. Even without the multi-barrel extensions, you can create all types of curls ranging from small, tight spirals to big, loose waves all dependent on how tight you wind your hair around the barrel and how long you hold your hair to the heat. The curls fashioned with this product last all day without the need for sprays and gels that harden hair and create a less fluid, unnatural look. Perfect, long lasting curls are easy to make with this curler on almost any hair type, even pin-straight, hard-to-curl hair. However, very thick, coarse hair requires longer time on heat to produce even curls which can damage hair. The curler may not work as well on this type of hair.

In all, this product is great for a majority of people looking for a simple, efficient way to create long lasting, silky curls.
