Makeup Wars, Holiday Party Look With Bare Minerals Star Treatment

This week we take on holiday party looks! I tried out my new Bare Minerals Star Treatment Set and a Gold Make Up For Ever Eyeliner for my husband's holiday work party. The Bare Minerals set has eight perfect shades for shimmery metallic party looks. The color payoff in this palette is also amazing!

Here are swatches from the Bare Minerals set in the shades VIP, Connoisseur, Carte Blanche, Ritzy, Kudos, Bragging Rights, Elitist, and Extravagance. The set also comes with an eye primer.

For my look, I used the bottom two shades in the swatches and I also used a Gold Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes Liner.

On my lips, I wore Laura Mercier Deco Rouge, a gorgeous limited edition shade that you can still get! Here is a swatch.

For foundation I am wearing Urban Decay Naked Skin, and my blush is a random MAC mineralize blush that I grabbed from my drawer.

Here is my look. The lighting wasn’t great, so I apologize for the blur.

Out On The Town With Mary Kay

A few weeks ago, I posted about Mary Kay fall trends and did a look using Mary Kay makeup for a video. You can see that here: [add link to previous post here]. Tonight I put on my Mary Kay face for dinner out at the casino. My husband snapped this photo of me while were there.

This look uses matte Mary Kay eye shadows to create smoky eye, which is always a great trend for fall, and it is paired with a soft shade of blush and a sheer red lip with gloss. I found it perfect for a fun night out.

I had just finished running my last 20 mile training run for an upcoming marathon before we went out, so it was nice to get made up and head out to dinner! I needed to eat and relax!
