Guerlain Precious Lights Radiance Essentials Kit Review

I Bought ThisAffiliate Links

Guerlain makes some of my absolute favorite products for creating a flawless luminous look, especially Guerlain meteorites. Right now, they have available a limited edition collection, the Guerlain Precious Lights Radiance Essentials Kit.

Guerlain Precious Lights

the Guerlain Precious Lights set includes the following:

(1)  Precious Light Rejuvenating Illuminator: This light concealer has gold radiance pigment to blur the appearance of wrinkles and other issues by reflecting light. It also contains peptides to treat the skin.

(2) Guerlain Meteorites Perles Light-Diffusing Perfecting Primer contains also reflects light and conceals blemishes with color correcting properties (generous trial size).

(3) Guerlain Meteorites Perles (my favorite) provide six colors to use as a finishing powder that creates a glowing look unlike anything I have achieved with other powders (generous trial size).

Here are photos from the set.

Guerlian Meteorites. I love these.

The Perles Primer. I find that it doesn’t color correct all that much, but it lends to the overall luminous glow that you can get when using these products together.

Here is a swatch of the Guerlain Illuminator. This rubs in to diffuse and reflect light.

Overall, this is a very nice set and it can be a great way to try these products without dishing out a ton of money for full sizes of the meteorites and primer. One caveat, the shades are geared for fair to light skin. They can be pretty forgiving, but I still wouldn't recommend the kit for anyone who doesn't consider themselves fair or light.

Purely Pro Cosmetics Swatches and Review

Purely Pro Cosmetics offers some quality and attractive makeup items. The company sent me several products to try and I was happy with all of them. Right off, I love this travel bag. You can see it featured in this recent Makeup Wars feature on how beauty bloggers travel.

Purely Pro Travel Bag

The company provides cute shadow palettes and some really nice cream highlights, which Purely Pro spells as Hilites.

Purely Pro Cosmetics Review

This eye shadow palette, the Glamazon Palette, has 5 neutral/nude shades and is very pretty.

The shades are neutral, perhaps ever so slightly on the warm side.

Below are swatches of the shadows. All had decent pigment and wore well for me. I got full day wear with no creasing.

The hilites were my favorite items. Here they are in Flirty and PopTart. The Hilites have enough pigment and are buildable that I can wear them as a blush on my fair skin. They also work well applied lightly as a true highlight.

I was also sent a fixative, but I haven’t tried it yet. Look for a review of it sometime in the future.

Sephora Pantone Emerald Eye Look Tutorial

Here is a video tutorial on using the Sephora + Pantone Universe Shadow Box Eclipsed to create a soft smoky emerald eye look. This is perfect for anyone who loves the emerald shade and it would be great as a St. Patrick’s Day makeup look. Also included is a transcript of the video.

Video Transcript:

The Sephora Plus Pantone color of the year eclipse look diffuses color up to the center of the brow bones, giving this soft everyday smoky eye a futuristic feel. It's all about constraining color to the outer half of the eyes. Sweep the nude tones all over lids and along the lower lash lines with a dampened brush for a rich luminous face. Intensify the corners with a second layer.

Next, diffuse the emerald shade from the other corners to the center of the lids, brushing downwards at an angle. Deepen the lash lines by sweeping on the dark green shadow with a dampened brush, working outward from the center of lash line. Drag color around the edges and onto the bottom lash lines. dust on emerald shadow from above the middle creases to the edges, sweeping an extra flash of color along bottom lashes.

Finish with black mascara on the upper lashes.
