Bioelements Gentle Creme Eye Makeup Remover
When it comes to skin care, I often recommend Bioelements. They consistently put out good products at a fairly decent price point for the high level of quality. They are not cheap items, but they aren’t luxury priced either. Bioelements Gentle Creme Eye Makeup Remover is no different. This gentle (surprise, just as the name says!) eye makeup remover cuts through waterproof makeup without being drying or irritating. Mostly though, it works really well!
Bioelements eye makeup remover is like a thin lotion in consistency and includes extracts to sooth the skin. I sometimes get irritation from eye makeup removers and did not from this one. I also had good luck with it removing some very stubborn waterproof makeup after I swatched a bunch of Makeup Forever Aqua Eyes on my arm and learned first hand just how waterproof those are. Watch for a review of Aqua Eyes and more on that topic next week. For now, all you need to know is that Bioelements did indeed remove waterproof eye makeup easily without any scrubbing, while regular soap and water failed miserably.

Bioelements Equalizer Alcohol Free Toner
Bioelements Equalizer Toner is an alcohol free hydrating toner that is good for all skin types. I don’t tend to use toner much, simply because I find that it dries my skin, but I had no such problems with the Biolements toner.
The toner contains Bioelements Adaptogens, chamomile extract, and aromatherapist oils. It is packaged in a nice heavy glass spray bottle—something that I find refreshing in and of itself!
I found that the toner feels good, is not drying and provides a good skin prep when used before moisturizer and makeup. If you are toner lover, this one is a good one to try out.
Bioelements Equalizer is also available in a travel size, which can be a good way to try it for less : Bioelements Equalizer Toner – 2 fl. oz.
Bioelements products are available online through various sources. I linked to Skin Care RX, which is a favorite online store of mine, but Bioelements also has a new website with quite a bit of information about their products, and you can also comparison shop for Bioelements on Bizrate/Shopzilla.

Bioelements Vitalization Body Creme
Bioelements makes many wonderful items, including one of the richest body creams that I have seen in some time. Bioelements Vitalization Rich Intensity Body Creme is lovely stuff. It is a creamy, thick lotion with a luxurious feel and high moisture factor. It also has a wonderful light aroma—the product of ten botanical oils (apricot kernel, olive, rice bran, grape, black currant, sunflower seed, bergamot, cardamom and clove). Red tea is also included as an anti-oxidant.

Bioelements and DDF: Two Good Acne Masks
I’m starting to get fed up with my adult acne, so I made a dermatologist appointment. In the meantime, I am trying out some treatment masks, both as spot treatments and as all over masks. There are two that I highly recommend: Bioelements Amino Mask and DDF Sulfur Therapeutic Mask.
Each are good, but also slightly different. Notably, the Biolelements mask includes Salicylic Acid and less Sulfur, while DDF is a higher concentration Sulfur Mask
The Bioelements mask is described as follows:
For All Skin Types Medicated facial mask helps prevent and clear acne blemishes. Draws-out pore-clogging debris, soaks up excess oils, calms inflammation and promotes fast healing of existing breakouts. – Medicated acne treatment mask – Contains 3% anti-bacterial sulphur and 2% salicylic acid – Unclogs pores, destroys acne bacteria, controls excess oils and helps heal existing blemishes No artificial colorants, synthetic fragrance or animal by-products. Not tested on animals.
When I used Biolements Amino Mask, I found that it worked well– both as an all over mask, and as a spot treatment. It feels like any other clay type mask and does a good job at absorbing oil and removing the gunk in your pores. But I particularly like this one as a spot treatment. Put a bit on a blemish and leave it on overnight. The Salicylic Acid helps dissolve the gunk, while the Sulfur provides good anti-bacterial acne treatment. Meanwhile, the mask as a whole absorbs oil had helps draw everything out.
DDF’s mask contains 10% Sulfur. For those who want maximum anti-bacterial agents, this one is great. I tend to use it more as an overall face mask once each week, although it will also work as a spot treatment.
One thing to note. Sulfur doesn’t smell really good, and because these masks contain it, they obviously have an odor. I don’t mind it at all, but if you are sensitive to sulfur smell, you might not care for these.

Bioelements Power Peptide Spray
The Bioelements brand continues to impress me. It seems that I like everything that I try from them, and my latest favorite is their Bioelements Power Peptide Spray.
Peptides are one of the hot active ingredients that have been shown to have an effect on fine lines and wrinkles. Usually peptides are put into creams and lotions, or occasionally a serum. But Bioelements decided to try something new — they made a spray.
This is quite a unique product. The liquid and lightly moisturizing spray allows for an easy application of peptides that can then be followed by other serums and creams. I love the concept, because often I want to apply something with peptides, yet also want to use my moisturizing sunscreen, and I don’t want to layer two creams. So putting the actives in a spray is genius!
The spray itself is quite comfortable. Because it contains various light moisturizing ingredients and oils, it does not dry out the skin. I didn’t find it to be anything more than minimally moisturizing though, so if you have dry skin, the spray won’t make it drier, but it also won’t substitute for you regular cream or lotion. I have been using it right before applying serums and sunscreen.
This is yet another highly recommend Bioelements product!

Bioelements Moisture Positive Cleanser
Every time I try something from Bioelements I am left impressed. My recent experience with the Bioelements Moisture Positive Cleanser was no different.
This is a rich and milky cleanser that leaves the skin feeling moisturized instead of dried out from soap. The Bioelements cleanser has no scent, removes makeup and dirt quite well, and rinses clean. I really love the feel of this one and I might add it to my winter dry skin routine. I do still love my DHC Olive Oil Cleanser, which is my daily cleanser when I have dry skin, but the milky/creamy feel of the Bioelements cleanser is pretty darn hard to beat!
I also have previously reviewed Bioelements Pumice Peel, which continues to impress me and has become my favorite daily use scrub.

Review: Bioelements Pumice Peel

Bioelements Pumice Peel is a good manual microdermabrasion product for those who are looking for a product that is not quite as abrasive as something like the spa sciences or L’Oreal microdermabrasion systems, but perhaps not quite as mild as something like Origins Modern Friction.
The Bioelements pumice peel has just the right balance of grittiness and moisturizing ingredients for me on those days where I want to exfoliate and feel the product working, yet don’t want to do the heavy, and potentially irritating treatment that I get with the Spa Sciences or L’Oreal systems. The product also has a nice smell. It is not heavily perfumed, but has a pleasant light scent that I enjoy. It has a good number of skin conditioning oils and extracts, plus vitamin C. I thought that was a nice touch, and it did indeed leave me skin feeling quite soft and slightly moisturized after use.
Overall, this is a product that I am quite happy with. I had only a sample size to play with and very well might buy a full size jar of it.
