Insect Themed Accessories

My parents are entomologists, and my Mother has long collected dragonfly jewelry. I think that has been influential in in why I too have often been drawn to insect jewelry and accessories. The five shown here are all items on my want list. I particularly love the Kate Spade bracelet!

Finding the right swimsuit can be a challenge for plus sized women. But looking attractive doesn’t have to be affected by size. If you are plus size, consider these tips for getting a swimsuit that gives you self confidence so that you can relax and enjoy the sun and the beach.

(1) Look for trendy tankinis, one-pieces, swimdresses, all of which provide varying degrees of coverage without making you show off your belly. Underwire and padded bra areas will enhance the bust area and provide support.

(2) Gone are the days of unattractive overly pleated skirted suits, look instead for suits with fashionable straight or A line skirts or swimsuits with shorts. These minimizes and flatten the stomach, covers the thighs and create a visual impression of slimmer waistline.

(3) Look for ruching or wrapped areas around the waist to create a slimmer appearance.

There are many colors to choose from. Don’t feel that you must be limited to black. Plus Sized swimwear comes in all sorts of great looks these days!
