Small gifts and Stocking Stuffers

Need a small party gift? How about stocking stuffers? Something easy to carry? Try some of these!

The cute Anastasia Mini Brow Kit contains a mini tweezer that I found works quite well for its size, a mini matte highlighter, and clear brow gel.

The Tweezerman Blush Brush is an attractive retractable goat hair brush. Great for carrying in the purse. Tip: load up the brush before you go. Then you have an application available without needing to carry along your pan of blush!

This one is more expensive, but boy would I like to have it! The Red Flower Japan Travel Kit, Sento Set is great for the luxury spa lover on your list!

A quality face cloth also makes a great gift, and this one come highly rated. The Jane Iredale Magic Mitt won’t disturb the skin’s acid mantel when cleansing.

This is another more expensive one, but something that is well loved by many. Fresh Brown Sugar Body Scrub is an amazing and luxurious scrub for the bath.

A Few Great Holiday Makeup Palettes

Makeup palettes are some of the best holiday gifts. Most women love them, they wrap easily (if you have seen my own gift wrapping skills,you know why I find that important), and they are often a great value. Here are a few suggested items.

The Urban Decay Ammo Shadow Box Palette (above) has a nice range of eye shadow shades.

The Pop Beauty Smoky Eyes Palette has a nice selection of shades in an attractive case.

I have come very close to buying the LORAC Croc Palette on more occasions than I can count! Why I don’t just give in, I don’t know. I suppose it is the over abundance of makeup that I already have. The eye shadow shades in this are wonderful neutrals and the makeup is of great quality.

Dior Holiday 2008 Limited Edition Eye Shadow Palette

My holiday splurge for myself this year was my purchase of a Christian Dior 2008 Holiday Palette. Dior’s leather case palettes are always worth the money in my mind. First off, the cases are always attractive. In this instance the case is black with metal adornments. The palette contains six shades of shadow in decent size for a palette, which provides a pretty good value.

As is customary for Dior, the shades are quite nice and are finely milled. My only complaint is that I seem to find that the shades included in the limited edition palettes are not quite as pigmented as they are in the Dior five colour palettes (read review). This isn’t to say that I am particularly disappointed in the shadow—to the contrary, it still is of good quality--it just seems like the shades are a bit more sheer. But they still have great color as you can see from the swatches.
