5 Tips To Improve Your Life Quality

Being healthy means different things to different people, to some it means being able to run for miles without having to stop, for others it means beating a disease or illness for others it’s simply feeling happy about themselves. No matter how you define being healthy here’s some tips everyone can enjoy.

Skin

If beauty is only skin deep you need to make sure your skin is well looked after and healthy. This isn’t just for vanity, your skin is the largest organ of the body and you probably take it for granted unless you have a skin problem. Make sure you’re drinking lots of water every day, different sources will tell you to drink different amounts but as a general rule of thumb just try replacing two thirds of the fizzy drinks and tea and coffee you usually drink with water. Be more careful about what you’re eating too, a diet with lots of fresh fruit and vegetables will product clearer skin than a diet full of junk and sugar. You skin will naturally shed and it’s shedding all the time but help it along by using a loeffler.

Hair

For many women their hair is their crowning glory and it’s not hard to understand why we spend so much time and money on this part of our bodies. Just take a stroll down the hair care isle of any supermarket or watch the commercial break of any reality TV show. With advertisers spending millions of dollars every year trying to win our custom we want perfect hair. Don’t believe everything you see on TV, if a shampoo claims to give you healthy looking hair it’s probably not healthy underneath where it counts. Try to avoid using hair dryers and straighteners on it every day as too much heat will damage it. Always give it a burst of cold water when you wash it and this will bring out the shine as will using the coolest setting on your hair dryer.

Body

This is nothing we don’t already know, eat less and move more. The amount of fruit and vegetables you’re advised to eat will depend on what country you’re in (governments set these based on how many they think they’ll be able to convince people to eat). Don’t stick to crazy diets, just limit the junk and processed foods and increase the natural wholesome foods you’re eating. You may lose weight on certain diets but once you start eating normally again you’ll soon put it all back on. Make sure you’re drinking plenty of water and getting lots of exercise. Always keep fresh fruit around the house and dried fruits at your desk so you’ve always got something healthy to snack on.

Mind

The mind is a terrible thing to waste; you can’t make yourself smarter but you can strive to better yourself. Try leaning something new, a new instrument or a new language if you want something not quite as long term something like learning to knit or to do origami. You might just want to do something as simple as picking a subject area that interests you and reading up on it, star gazing, a particular point in history. Whatever you do you need to make sure it’s something you really want to learn. Don’t take on too much at once, just pick one thing at a time and move on once you’ve had enough or you feel you’ve learned everything you wanted to learn.

Finance

This can be the hardest part of your life to turn around, you can’t just eradicate your debt with the power of positive thinking but you can change your mind set on how you view your finances. Setting a strict budget won’t work for everyone but you at least need to have a clear grasp of your in comings and out goings and the former needs to be larger than the latter. Sign up for online and phone banking and make sure you always know exactly how much is in your account at any one time. Try and get a small safety cushion built in so any unplanned emergencies don’t send you into a panic and cut back on any unnecessary expenditure, do you really need that designer coffee on the way to the office each morning? Could you buy the cheaper brands when you’re grocery shopping? After a while this will all become second nature.

Last but not least – never put off till tomorrow what you can do today.

To help towards your healthy lifestyle invest in a new piece of cheap home fitness equipment like a cheap vibration plate or cross trainer, the expenditure will be a great motivation especially if you leave the receipt taped to the machine!

How to Create Fun Holiday Hair Styles

The Updated Side Ponytail

Side ponytails are no longer relegated to the 80s. The new modern take on this asymmetrical look is sophisticated, yet fun. First create some bend in the hair with a large barrel curling iron. Leave a few inches free at the ends of the hair so that they remain straight. Spray the hair with a flexible hold hairspray for texture and grip. Rake your hair back using your fingers into a low side ponytail. Wrap your hair once around the elastic like you are creating a bun, but leaving the rest of the hair free. Pin the bun with bobby pins. Spray the remaining pony tail with more hairspray to rough up the texture. Pull out some individual pieces in the front creating a messy, sexy look, perfect for day or night. For shorter hair a messy side bun is a great alternative. Follow all of the side ponytail steps, but instead of leaving the ponytail free, continue to wrap your hair around the elastic, pinning it in place. Finish off with hairspray for hold.

Side Braids

This look is sleek, easy, and fights the winter time frizzies. First brush your hair smooth and consider using a frizz-fighting cream on the front of your locks. Part your hair in the center and make thin, french braids on either side stopping at the ears. Secure the braids with bobby pins and leave the rest of your hair down and flowing. For a more a more dramatic look add some waves to the loose hair with a large barrel curling iron. Spray with hairspray to finish. You'll be able to keep your hair off of your face while still maintaining a soft look.

Vintage Waves

Vintage waves work on both short and long hair. For long hair use a 1-inch curling iron. Wrap your hair around the curling iron and hold for a few seconds. Repeat this process until you have a head full of curls. Using a round brush, blow dry your hair on a low setting while brushing out the curls. The result is sultry waves. Finish with hairspray. With short hair this style works best if you use a wave iron. Form a deep side part and then create tight waves around the head starting at the crown of the head all of the way down to the ends. Spray with hairspray and use a sparkly barrette to secure one side for a look that screams classic film siren.

These holiday hair styles are simple to create and will spice up your look. With a few minutes and the right tools you'll be ready to celebrate the season in style. Pair these looks with a stunning outfit and you will shine at any party.

Find The Best Deep Conditioner For Your Hair

I am a big deep conditioner fan. If you have color treated hair or dry hair, deep conditioning once a week or so can make all the difference in getting smooth silky hair. The article below, syndicated from Total Beauty, provides some great information on the best deep conditioners based on their reader’s rankings.

A couple of items on the list that I particularly agree with are the Aussie Three Minute Miracle, which is also incredibly affordable and available at your local drug or grocery store and Redken Smooth Down Butter Treat, which I think is the best for taming frizzies and creating smooth, straight looks. I love how soft it makes my hair feel too.  It too isn’t all that hard to find. You can read my previous review of the Redken Smooth Down Hair products here: Redken Smooth Down.

Although not on the list, I highly recommend protein treatments that include animal protein once every week or two as well. I use Joico K-Pak Deep Penetrating Reconstructor, which is one of the few easy to find deep protein treatments. Note: Don't use protein treatments that contain animal derived protein more than once every week or so. They do great things for the hair in moderation, but too much use can weaken the hair over time.

There are also a bunch conditioners on the list that I haven't tried, and I suppose that I should! Anyway, take a look and see if you can find the best hair conditioner for you.
