Nars Cosmetics and Phillip Lim

NARS Cosmetics created the makeup look at the Phillip Lim NEW York Fashion Week, Fall 2010 show . The inspiration was disco-punk. “This is a youthful, rebellious look that exudes a strong sense of confidence. Energy radiates within the girls through their makeup with eyes that have a bit of a rock and roll feel,” said designer Phillip Lim whose inspiration stemmed from an image of Blondie’s Debbie Harry.

“This look has many layers,” said NARS lead artist Lisa Butler. “The eyes are punchy and edgy while the skin was kept healthy and glowing. The lips are a soft, sheer pink for the elegant punk-rock princess style that Phillip was looking for.”

Fashion Week Favorites From Cynthia Steffe

Mercedes Benz Fashion Week is underway. During the next week I will highlight some of my favorite looks for fall 2010. As a side note, also check out this great New York Fashion Week promotion from Open Sky for 25% beauty and fashion products.

OK, so onto the shows! Fashion week always makes me want the clothes right now! This is especially true for the fall collections because it is always chilly during those shows. But you will have to wait for fall 2010. My first favorite is this look from Cynthia Steffe Fall 2010. I love the leather jumper dress and have always been a fan of squared neck lines. The hat is also a cute touch.

Here are a couple of more favorites of mine from Cynthia Steffe. In fact, the more I look at photos from the show, the more I find that I like. So, as I’m writing this, I decide that this will be a post dedicated to Cynthia Steffe. I’m loving the looks!

MAC Cosmetics and LAMB at New York Fashion Week (Milk Studios)

Fashion week has began! I love LAMB and always rush first to see what Gwen Stefani has new for us. For fall 2010 LAMB has some lovely pieces in various fall shades of gray, brown and black. Just in the first day’s material so far I have seen a trend among the shows toward mixing brown with gray and utilizing thigh high boots and stockings—a look that I really like.

I think the below combo of leather pants and interesting shirt is my favorite from the collection. I also love the dress and high boots.

MAC Cosmetics did the makeup for the LAMB fashion show. The look featured heavy, smoky eyes with a bright fuchsia red lip. The look was very dramatic. I’m a fan! the face chart for the makeup look is below:

Seeing Turquoise at New York Fashion Week

I love the color turquoise and am getting excited to see it all over the place at New York Fashion Week for spring 2010! I want this bag, seen at Davidelfin!

I love this little dress from Cynthia Steffe.

There is obviously many more colors meshing with the turquoise in this BCBG dress, making for a lovely mix of color. this is probably my favorite dress seen so far.
