Pixi Cosmetics has a fabulous new makeup palette out call the Pixi Week of Wakeup Makeup.

This cute Pixi makeup kit is filled with makeup for a different look each day of the week. The shades are pretty peaches, pinks, and nudes. All are rather neutral, so they will work well with most skin tones and there is a full coordinated with eye shadow, blush, lipstick and lipgolss for each day. So, the Pixi Week of Makeup Kit contains 21 eyeshadows, 7 cheek powders and 8 lip glosses.

I think the kit is adorable, and I love the idea of it, so am going to give it a try for seven days and see what I think of all of the looks I take some Pixi swatches as I go and will report back in a week or two.

Pixi Cosmetics Eyeshadow Palette Now Available at Target

Pixi cosmetics are now available at Target. The line has a rather impressive array of products, including a good selection of thirteen different eye shadow palettes. I grabbed one when I was there.

I picked up the Palette "Mod," which consists of eight neutral shades ranging from light pink and gray, to medium brown, to taupe, to dark grey. The case is made of rather light plastic for a $28 palette, but it includes a mirror and serviceable brush. Below are swatches in the same order as they appear in the palette:

The shadows are finely milled and the shades are very nice. I didn't experience creasing with the Pixi eye shadows, but I also thought that the shadow did not last as long as it could for its price point. I found that it had worn off and faded by the end of the work day. Nevertheless, because the shades are so nice, and the choices among the palettes so large, anyone looking for a good set of useable shades might want to give Pixi a look.
