Spring Nail Art From Target

Paid Sponsored Post

I went to Target and grabbed some nail items to do a spring nail art look. Since my nails are a bit beat up at the moment I first bought some false nails to paint on, which gave the added bonus of having a bit more control. Target had several brands to choose from, and all are good and affordable. For polish, I did a base coat with Sally Hansen Insta Dri  in Peachy Breeze. I then did a swirl pattern and dots with with Revlon Nail Art Neon in High voltage and Pink Glow.

Sally Hansen and Revlon Nail Art

I wanted something that seemed floral and that definitely invoked Spring, but I also wanted it to be a bit subtle too and not too stylized. I figured that type of look is also easier to make.  So I went for abstract and used a nail art brush to make an uneven X on each nail with the Revlon High voltage Orange, and then I used a dotting tool to dot on Revlon Pink Glow.  A shiny clear top coat really brings out the neon in the Revlon polish.

Here is the result:

A bonus of the Revlon products are that they are two sided and come with a white polish, so you would do this look on a white base instead if you wanted a different look or wish to to buy less products.

Revlon Neon Nail Art

I saw a lot of neat Spring polish shades at Target, including a bunch more dual sided Revlon ones that could be used for all sorts of fun looks. Overall, it is a great way to get an easy and affordable nail art look.

Sephora Outrageous Prisma Chrome Swatch

I Bought This Affiliate Links

The Sephora Outrageous Prisma Chrome Eye Shadows are simple incredible. With eight beautiful high shimmer shades, it is hard to choose just one. Since I love taupes, that is the one that I settled on. The shadows remind me a lot of some Laura Mercier Art Deco Collection limited edition shadows that were out around the holidays that quickly sold out.  Those were awesome and this is equally so.

Sephora Outrageous Prisma Chrome Shadow Taupe

This is a wonderful taupe shade that is a perfect balance of purple and gray. The shadow wore nicely for me and can be worn alone quite well, or paired with other shades. It is great for making a smoky eye with taupe and gray or taupe and purple.

Guerlain Precious Lights Radiance Essentials Kit Review

I Bought ThisAffiliate Links

Guerlain makes some of my absolute favorite products for creating a flawless luminous look, especially Guerlain meteorites. Right now, they have available a limited edition collection, the Guerlain Precious Lights Radiance Essentials Kit.

Guerlain Precious Lights

the Guerlain Precious Lights set includes the following:

(1)  Precious Light Rejuvenating Illuminator: This light concealer has gold radiance pigment to blur the appearance of wrinkles and other issues by reflecting light. It also contains peptides to treat the skin.

(2) Guerlain Meteorites Perles Light-Diffusing Perfecting Primer contains also reflects light and conceals blemishes with color correcting properties (generous trial size).

(3) Guerlain Meteorites Perles (my favorite) provide six colors to use as a finishing powder that creates a glowing look unlike anything I have achieved with other powders (generous trial size).

Here are photos from the set.

Guerlian Meteorites. I love these.

Guerlian Meteroites

The Perles Primer. I find that it doesn’t color correct all that much, but it lends to the overall luminous glow that you can get when using these products together.

Guerlian Precious Light Illuminator Swatch

Overall, this is a very nice set and it can be a great way to try these products without dishing out a ton of money for full sizes of the meteorites and primer. One caveat, the shades are geared for fair to light skin. They can be pretty forgiving, but I still wouldn't recommend the kit for anyone who doesn't consider themselves fair or light.
