DIY Facial Masks

For Acne Prone/Oily Skin

Very few acne treatments can compare to the simple effectiveness of honey. Not only does honey have antiseptic properties, which help kill germs and bacteria, it is also completely edible and natural and so won’t expose the skin to all the harmful effects a chemical might have.

Combine 2 teaspoons of honey with ½ teaspoon of lemon juice and apply the concoction to your face and let it stay for about 20 minutes. Wash away with lukewarm water. The lemon will fade away the blemishes left by acne scarring and exfoliate your skin, and the honey will enhance the glow in your skin.

For Dry Skin

Blend together 2 bananas, ½ cup yogurt and 1 tablespoon of honey until the mixture has become smooth and uniform. Apply it on your face and leave it on until it dries. This usually takes about 20 minutes. Rinse your face with warm water and you will notice that your skin is much softer and supple than before.

Banana DIY Facial Mask

For Sensitive Skin

For this mask, you will need 1 egg white, 1 teaspoon cucumber juice, 1 teaspoon yogurt and 1 teaspoon honey. You can get the cucumber juice by grating it and then squeezing it out of it. First, you have to beat the egg till it’s fluffy, then add in the honey and yogurt. Add in the cucumber juice in the end. Apply to your skin and leave on for about 20 minutes. Wash with warm water. You will notice your skin is much more relaxed and less irritated than before.

All of these are easy to make and your skin will love you for it!
