This Top Ten Tuesday focuses on the best beauty products for under $10. I grabbed some of my indie and drugstore favorites, did a look, and also wrote up a few details for you.
Below is a look I did using most of the products in the collage. I put an asterisk by those that I used in the notes at the end.
Here is a close up of the eye, which i did primarily with indie brand Darling Girl Deery Lou. This has become my absolute favorite taupe shadow, as has the similar Darling Girl Badtz Maru. I bought them as a sample sizes.
OK, so here are my top ten items.
*Darling Girl Deery Lou: I love this taupe loose shadow. DarIing Girl has one of my favorite formulations among the indie loose powders that I have tried. They foil better than a lot of the brands I have tested and the selection of shades is awesome. See my Previous Darling Girl Review for more.
*Revlon Sea Mist: I used just a touch of the purple and pink from this Revlon quad. Revlon puts out a number of shadow quads for under $10 that are excellent values
*Cover Girl Lash Blast Mascara: This is my favorite drugstore mascara. It is a solid choice all around for length, volume and low clumping. No flaking either, which seems to be a problem with a number of cheaper mascaras.
*NYX Lash Curler: I love my NYX lash curler. I initially got it for the 20 dollar face challenge. It works just as well as more expensive versions and only costs a couple of dollars.
*Milani Liquid Eye: These pencil eyeliners glide on liquid smooth and wear incredibly well. Yet they cost just a few dollars. Disclosure: This might have been a press sample, I can’t remember since I also have bought some!
L’Oreal Infallible shadow: I’m not wearing it here, but L‘Oreal Infallible pressed pigment shadows are high pigment, long wearing, super value products.
*Maybelline Color Whisper Rose Attraction: I love color whisper lipsticks. They feel more like a balm and have good sheer tint. I am wearing the shade Rose Attraction in the photo.
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream: I just recently tried one of these. The lip cream is a like a thicker and more opaque lip stain and boy does it wear a long time! It is also super affordable.
*L’Oreal True Match Blush Precious Peach: I got mine for under $10 at Ulta but sometimes it goes slightly over. This is my favorite feminine soft blush. It is also a fairly good dupe for Nars Orgasm
E.l.f. All Over Color Stick: This is another product I discovered for the 20 dollar face challenge. At $1 it is an incredible buy for a double duty cream blush and lip product.
