Makeup Wars Best Illuminizers

Makeup Wars this week looks at our favorite illuninizers. I have several that I totally adore. Here they are.

(1) Prescriptives Magic Powder

I have been using Prescriptives Magic for many, many years.  This powder reflects back light and blurs the appearance of fine lines. It feels like it has water in it when you put it on, yet it works just like a powder to set makeup. But it adds that extra glow that I just love.

(2) Guerlain Meteorites

 

Meteorites is another one that I have been using for years. It is amazing how these little powder balls can make your skin look heavenly. It is an expensive product, but it lasts for a long time, as in years. I haven’t repurchased mine for over 2 years,  although to be fair, I don’t use it daily. I like it best for evening looks.

(3) Guerlain Meteorites Light Diffusing Primer

I discovered this Guerlain primer last year. Like the powder, it gives off a luminous glow. I love to combine the two on no or little makeup days by putting on the primer, followed by powder. I can sometimes skip foundation that way if my skin is OK at the time. If not, I wear foundation between the two.

(4) Benefit High Beam

High Beam is my favorite for highlighting specific areas. It is great high on the cheekbones or just under the brow line to help make things pop.
