[cf-shortcode plugin=”cft” field=”Hidden Thought”]

Are you a European makeup artist? In particular, are you in the Paris area? Make Up For Ever, one of my favorite brands by the way, is launching the TV and Cinema Academy in la Cité du Cinéma near Paris, aimed at providing specialized education to professionals seeking to enter the movie makeup industry.  The Academy will teach a variety of topics such as SFX, prosthetics, wigmaking, makeup, and aging techniques. The Academy will also host international speakers and offer special programs. Programs range from longer courses lasting up to six months and shorter more intensive programs of one to three weeks. So there are a variety of options.

Programs at the Academy will be open to all professional makeup artists, whether or not they are graduates of a makeup or cosmetology program. Those who are not graduates may apply with proof of consistent experience.   With films becoming more and more complex and technology driven, the cosmetic industry is more important in movies than ever.  It also is a great area for makeup artists to obtain employment and make industry contacts.  The program looks great, and any makeup artist wanting enter the area of cinematic makeup should definitely take a look at it. Make Up For Ever offers academies world wide and this certainly is a welcome addition to their already substantial and  high quality offerings.
