Getting Ready for Sandal Season

[cf-shortcode plugin=”cft” field=”Hidden Thought”]
Spring is already here and summer is fast approaching. That means it is time to break out the sandals for all sorts of events, such as prom, graduations, outdoor parties, and so on. If you are like me and had your feet stuffed in boots all winter, your feet could probably use a little extra  TLC right now. Here are some ways to get them in top shape for sandal season.

ready for summer

(1) Get a pedicure: I have a tendency to let my toenails go a bit during winter, so spring is one of those times when I get a professional pedicure done. I’ll have my toenails trimmed, buffed, and painted. I like to use a darker color on my toenails to make them really pop out when wearing sandals. Then, I will wear a lighter, complimentary color on my fingernails.

(2) Smooth out the rough spots: A winter season of wearing boots can leave dry spots and calluses. It can especially lead to dry, cracked heels, which will not look  great in sandals. I love using my Amopé™ Pedi Perfect Wet & Dry Rechargeable Foot File to smooth out areas like that. The Amopé™ wet and dry product is perfect for use in the tub. The product has two speeds: gentle (low) or intensive (high), and it is rechargeable, so it is always ready when you need it. Use is easy. Simply turn it on and let it go to work on those rough areas.  It does a particularly nice job of smoothing rough heels and works much better than manual products.

(3) Moisturize dry areas: After smoothing out the rough spots, add some moisturizer to help keep things smooth. I like to be sure my legs are also well moisturized going into summer.

Now you are ready for those summer good times!

  1. My feet have gotten super dry. A pedi sounds good but that Amope sounds like a gadget that I have to try out.

  2. I really need to take better care of my feet! I love wearing flippies but definitely get embarrassed about my feet if I haven’t given them enough attention.
