Fun Times With ColorSmash Temporary Hair Color
Disclosure: This review is based on a product provided to me by a representative of the company.

I have always wanted to get purple streaks in my hair. Never mind that I am almost 50 and have a professional occupation. I still want them! My husband also is not a fan of less than usual hair color. So, there are a number of factors that have kept me from getting some permanent purple streaks. But I jumped on the chance to try out some temporary ones with ColorSmash color hairspray.

ColorSmash Color Kissed Hairspray is a spray on temporary color that, unlike other sprays, contains no iron oxides. It sprays on color quickly and easily and washes out in one or two shampoos. It comes in three shades: Violet, Pink, and Indigo.

I found that application was easy. For my streaks, I divided some sections and simply held them out and sprayed. I put a paper towel behind them to keep the strands separated from surrounding hair and to avoid getting a bunch of color on my hands and skin, but when I did get some on my forehead, it wiped right off with no problem. It also wiped right off of my counter and sink when I got a bit clumsy with it. Basically, the formula is water soluble, so any stray sprays clean right up. Once the product is dry on the hair it also does not rub off, so you don’t need to worry about getting it on your clothes.
This is a hair spray, so it does leave the hair with a feeling of hair spray hold. You can brush through it for a more natural look and to help get rid of the stiffness. That is what I did. I did so when the product was still damp, which turned my brush purple. But no worries, all I had to do was sweep the brush through some soapy water and rinse it and the purple was gone. That shows how easy clean up is with this product. Here is the before and after cleanup photo of my brush. It took maybe 30 seconds to clean up.

The color wore fine for me all day and night and it washed right out at my next shampoo. It was quite a bit of fun and I will definitely be using it again!

How cool! I used to own some of those glittery hair sprays during my teens; I actually appeared with gold and bright blue glitter in my hair! These look a lot subtler and prettier.
Love the spray aspect!! Great way to add a pop of color without the commitment!
That looks so great. I love that it washes out the next shampoo.
These look like so much fun. Clip in streaks are also an option, fun on your days off, back to professional girl come Monday morning. ?
I would love to be able to be fun and crazy with my hair.
What a cool product! I, too, want fun hair but have to be an adult sometimes. Looks super easy to use!
